Food Safety Tech Announces New Advanced Strategic Root Cause Analysis & CAPA Online Training for Food Safety Professionals

Food Safety Tech, a leading digital media community dedicated to informing and educating the global food safety and quality industry, proudly announces the launch of a new online training course titled Advanced Strategic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA). This intensive 8-week project-based virtual program begins April 8, 2026 and is designed to elevate the investigative and preventive capabilities of food safety professionals across the supply chain.
The course, developed and facilitated by Dr. Mehrdad Tajkarimi, DVM, MPVM, Ph.D., blends science-driven methodologies with real-world application. It equips quality directors, HACCP coordinators, operations managers, technical staff, compliance officers, and other food safety leaders with the skills to conduct rigorous root cause determinations, design robust corrective and preventive actions, and justify investigations with defensible documentation.
“This course was developed to push beyond traditional approaches and give professionals the tools to uncover underlying causes, implement sustainable CAPA frameworks, and strengthen compliance in regulated environments” said a Rick Biros, Content Director and Founder of Food Safety Tech.
The comprehensive curriculum includes foundational modules such as The Physics of Failure & Regulatory Theory, advanced causal modeling with logic trees and Fishbone diagrams, risk quantification using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), human factors investigation, CAPA engineering with Poka-Yoke principles, verification of effectiveness protocols, and regulatory-ready documentation strategies. Participants will progress through weekly virtual sessions, real project applications from their own organizations, and a final project showcase that demonstrates measurable improvements.
Dr. Tajkarimi brings extensive experience in food safety science and quality systems, with decades of industry consulting, operational leadership, and teaching. His project-based instructional style is rooted in hands-on problem solving and data-driven decision making, enabling learners to immediately apply insights to their own food safety challenges.
